A man that gets A TRILLION DOLLARS has a vested interest in living in his delusions of grandeur that the world should go "free" as chaos ensues to get there should not be in the position that's he's in. He's fucked up the government - DOGE was the worse non-government entity ever invented. Tesla is the worst car ever made, and that's saying something after the Dodge Dart.
People like Elon will bring America to the existence of "Escape From NY" more so than The Jetsons.
I would say AI is already a thing and isn't going away anymore than the internet is ever going to go away... But we did recently do an episode about how it's possible that the AI revolution won't happen (for a practical reason) as everyone expects. Meanwhile I think we are all stuck with Elon. Hopefully he just stays away from politics like he recently said he's going to. He did so much damage to the world while in the Trump administration that it's truly unbelievable.
AI may go away because of the high cost of resources on water and electricity plus the noise pollution and other health concerns (see Memphis and Virginia’s towns about the headaches and such) on the general population and not the corporation with the servers. That’s just one pissed off group of people with molotov’s waiting to happen. Sure companies want it, but it needs to be regulated before domestic terrorists get to it first.
Elon doesn’t know how to leave well enough alone so he probably will be in jail sooner than he thinks. Didn’t like one of his baby mama’s saying that half the population was going to die and she hoped AI got to the point of perfection so the rich essentially can have art when they’re bored.
